About Indirect Tax Services Ltd (“ITSL”)

ITSL was set up in 2010. Its sole director is Peter Hore, who has dealt with VAT at the highest levels in the EU and UK over the last 25 years.

For over a decade, Peter was responsible for all the indirect affairs of a major UK headquartered composite insurer and one of the world's largest insurers. During that time he oversaw the successful integration following takeover/merger of 3 major, diverse organisations.

This in-house experience gives Peter an almost unique insight into how organisations large or small, public or private work in the real world, and he can overlay that with a commercial expertise almost unrivalled in the market, ensuring he provides relevant, commercial and technically sound advice and assistance.

Since then, Peter has used his skills to support a wide range of services to an even wider range of UK, European and North American organisations, such as research bodies, property companies, local authorities, transport authorities, charities as well as for several mainstream financial service companies.

In addition, Peter has held industry roles on VAT committees with the Association of British Insurers, Investment Management Association, British Property Federation, CEA (Brussels based European Insurance Association) and Lloyd's of London.

Peter has lobbied extensively on VAT in Brussels, including writing the keynote speech for the European insurance industry at an EU Commission VAT workshop
